Notes:
Most individual spell less then 10 mg of albumin / day.
Most experts and organizations have defined abnormal albumine excretion as being greater than 30 mg/24 hours, and Overt Nephropathy occuring when excretion is greater than 300 mg/24 hours. This is based on previous studies of Type 1 patients.
Albumin excretion can be reported as a timed sample, an excretion rate per min, or as a ratio.
